In den USA ist die „Soundstage”-Serie bereits ein alter Hut, aber noch immer ein echter Schatz für High-End-Affine Musikfans. Da wird es Zeit, dass auch die potenziellen Fans in der Alten Welt in den Genuss dieser Reihe kommen. Seit 2001 werden den amerikanischen Zuschauern Konzertmitschnitte auf dem höchsten technischen Niveau angeboten, das heutzutage möglich ist. Mit Hits wie „Soak up the sun“, „All I wanna do“ und „Every day is a winding road“ sowie Album-Klassikern wie „If it makes you happy”, „Steve McQueen” und „My favorite mistake” bietet die 46-Jährige dabei einen tollen Live-Querschnitt durch ihre Karriere. Der 14. Juli ist normalerweise als Nationalfeiertag einzig den Franzosen vorbehalten. Im vergangenen Jahr avancierte er allerdings auch zum Feiertag für alle italienischen und internationalen Musikfans, die sich in Rom aufhielten. Bereits am Nachmittag strömten sie zu Abertausenden in die größte römische Arena, den legendären Circus Maximus (laut Wikipedia sogar das größte Veranstaltungsgebäude aller Zeiten mit 600 Metern Länge und 140 Metern in der Breite). Zuletzt waren es um die 500.000 (in Worten: Fünfhunderttausend!), die an einem dieser typisch warmen südländischen Sommertage, bei freiem Eintritt (!) wohlgemerkt, das Abschlusskonzert der “Turn It On Again” betitelten Europa-Tournee von GENESIS erleben wollten. Es wurde für alle ein einzigartiges Erlebnis, musikalisch, akustisch, visuell.
