The Pursuit is important because I kind of want it to be inspirational. Not in the cheesy sense, ‘pursue your dreams and be happy,’ but realistically. Like, you work hard, focus on little goals and accomplish them and you keep growing. I think that the film really shows that. I interviewed all the guys and they all have their own stories. From like, being injured and coming back or just some positive story just to show kids. You know, surfing a while back was kind of like ‘wing it and fun.’ Now these kids are training and they are working hard. I wanted to show the world that.
